In Anansi Boys, Neil Gaiman spins a witty, darkly magical tale blending myth and modern life as he revisits the West African spider god Anansi through the story of his two sons—Fat Charlie, a mild-mannered Londoner, and Spider, his wild and supernatural counterpart. When Fat Charlie learns not only of his father's death but also of his unexpected sibling, his life is upended in absurd and dangerous ways. Rich with humor, myth, and the surreal, the novel explores themes of identity, legacy, and chaos with Gaiman’s trademark charm and inventive prose. A standalone story that loosely ties into American Gods, this is a vibrant reimagining of folktale tradition wrapped in a compelling contemporary narrative.
