Tilted Books is an independent vintage and antiquarian bookstore specializing in carefully curated collectible books, classic science fiction and fantasy, technical and counterculture titles, and quality used books for discerning readers and collectors.

  Since I can remember, there have been books. Books being read, books covering the walls in improvised shelves, and used bookstores that were eagerly anticipated weekly destinations. The excitement built for library book sales, for saving up, and for volunteering just to gain earlier access.

  In my youth I devoured classic science fiction and fantasy at home, on the bus, and occasionally when I should have been paying attention in class. That lifelong immersion in genre literature and book collecting shapes the thoughtful curation at Tilted Books.

  Becoming a professional bookseller once felt like a dream that might never fully materialize. After many years working in technology and corporate America, the importance and beauty of pursuing one’s true passion became impossible to ignore.

  I once dismissed the saying “Do what you love and you will never work a day in your life” as youthful optimism or privilege. Experience has proven otherwise. These days I often say, “The books are the vacation,” because working with collectible and vintage books brings daily satisfaction.

  Together with my husband, whose renewed enthusiasm for comic books complements the collection, we proudly operate Tilted Books. Our focus is on curated vintage books, antiquarian titles, collectible editions, and well-preserved used books offered at fair and reasonable prices for both new collectors and seasoned bibliophiles.

This growing physical presence represents an important step toward our long-term goal of opening a dedicated brick-and-mortar rare and vintage bookstore.
